La Sana Panadería

La Sana Panadería is not in Jávea itself but in La Xara, a village that belongs to Dénia on the far side of the Montgó, around ten to fifteen minutes' drive from the centre of Jávea. The bakery has no website of its own; Instagram serves as its shop window. The shelves hold sourdough bread, including a spelt version, focaccia, cinnamon rolls, cookies, banana bread and homemade pastries, and reviewers praise the friendly service as much as the bread. The hellojavea team buys its own bread there too, and it is above all the focaccia and the whole sourdough loaves that stand out. Expect mornings from Wednesday to Saturday and takeaway only, since there is nowhere to sit. Cards are not accepted; you pay in cash or by bank transfer.
